More comic project
Been a tad busy, so the blog hasn't gotten an update despite things to show. Time for some art.
The barman:
Hex, a biplane pilot (who, yes, will have gloves, but I was a forgetful dingus):
Still trying to decide on a color scheme for this plane. References for the drawing itself include Classic Military Aircraft: The World's Fighting Aircraft 1914-1945, which I recommend if you're into that sort of thing. Also had plenty of google image searches, of course.
So far, these have been the best:

Rescheduling
I seem to be having some problems with my current update schedule. I'm going to work out how to improve this for my own good and the benefit of getting things posted on the days I say I'm going to. Mondays and Fridays aren't working well. Let's try every fourth day and see how that goes. So the next update should be on the 25th, since I suppose this is going to read as being the 21st.
Have some roughs for that RPG project I'm working on.
There was a fourth, but since it was from a bad angle, I trashed it.
After the break, a Doctor Who-related scribble.

It's that time of year again
That time of year when I get most of my hair cut off! And this year, in a style I haven't tried before.
This decision creates artist conundrums. I'll just have to get some reference pictures from a bunch of angles.

True Story
Long day. Have this scribble-y comic after the break.
Because adult language, that's why after the break.

Browser problems
Ironically, this isn't why the update is over an hour late tonight. I couldn't get my browser to load anything for quite a while until I did a system restart.
It is true that I've been pretty wiped out each day after work, though, and I've had so many shifts lately they've started blurring together, what with being called in to help out when people get sick unexpectedly. But more hours = more pay, and I do like more pay. I just need to get exercising much more so I can keep my energy going.

Produce
Scribbled up something really quick. And there's even a background in this one!
I got loaned out to the Produce department to help out, since there's a lot of people up in Front Service but not many people at all in Produce and someone either went back to school or called in sick. It's much quieter and more... relaxed, I suppose is the word. I don't feel like I should panic if I'm not moving, I'm not as physically exhausted at the end of a day--even a 9-hour one like today--and I don't have to worry about sunburn from going outside or having to wash off sunscreen when I get home. It's a more straightforward job than bagging, and I seem to get more hours in it.
Someone thought it a good idea to give me some of the store-supplied gloves today, so I no longer have to get frozen fingers.

Dishonbored
While I appreciate that there is, in fact, more of a challenge in playing Dishonored while trying to leave as many people alive as possible, I've also been painfully aware of how incredibly dull it is. There are very few options for the non-lethal player, and I have to look at all the lethal options and think, "Wow, that sounds like an awful lot of fun. Too bad I can't use that." Despite the fact that the option that will land you the better ending is more or less shoved in your face every mission and loading screen, it seems as if the developers want you to use the lethal options instead, because they sound interesting. I don't think one play option's fun should be invalidated by its challenge.

Last Minute!
It really doesn't make any sense that I know how to play Magic pretty well, but I think Poker would be hard to learn.

Buh.
Early shift tomorrow, so this is going to be as quick a post as I can manage.

I Swear I Still Exist
I seem to have gone off and neglected to post for a month or two. That's unfortunate. I should remedy that before I keep doing it some more.
So, unfortunately, I don't have any scans of sketches I did while in California at the moment. I'm not on good terms with the scanner, but it's not the scanner's fault I haven't gone and scanned in my scribbles. More on those at a later time, when I have scans.
For now, some other things. First off, a new Team Fortress 2 fan-scribble:
My favored class changed to Engineer a long time ago, but I never got to drawing something new until recently. The new Mann vs. Machine mode is heaps of fun, too! You should play it. It is a free game, you know.
Next up, a new take on an older character that got as far as flat colors. This may or may not ever be finished; this version was for a roleplaying game that's gone dead. Still, I'm fond of the work I did on the scales.
The next two are some conceptual sketching for an Elder Scrolls: Skyrim comic idea I've been mulling over for a little while now. The (wood) elf has since been toyed with some more since these images, mostly with eye shapes and in fixing issues I had (and even in the more recent workings, still have) with bodily proportions.
There is one more thing I've been working on, but it has a bunch of progress shots, so I'm going to save that for its own post in a few days. Assuming I don't get too involved in other goings-on and forget.
